We offset our carbon footprint by supporting afforestation projects.
Carbon-neutral waste management means that the carbon footprint of a company’s waste management is measured and the measured emissions are compensated. Compensation takes place by sequestering the amount of carbon emitted from the atmosphere through certified afforestation projects. The service thus reduces the company’s carbon footprint and benefits the climate.
We use Gold Standard-certified afforestation projects in the service. In addition to carbon sequestration, these projects also contribute to other sustainable development goals. The projects support, for example, the employment of locals and strengthen biodiversity.
