The scope of the business transfer is Tepcomp\u2019s LED lighting components product portfolio, related IPR and development personnel. DA-Group\u2019s fully-owned subsidiary, Controlled Oy, is the owner and operator of the transferred business acquisition.<\/p>\n

Tepcomp Group is a leading Finnish industrial electronics contract manufacturer focusing on healthcare technology and industrial electronics. Tepcomp\u2019s strategic decision was to divest the LED product business and related development activities to enable full focus on Tepcomp Group\u2019s core business as EMS supplier.<\/p>\n

The product lines included in the business transaction are PowerPAQ power supplies, ActivePAQ and PassivePAQ LED modules.<\/p>\n

Controlled Oy\u2019s parent company DA-Group is a technology company providing advanced electronics and high-technology solutions and products from seabed to space. The goal of the business transfer is to further develop high-quality LED lighting products with combined R&D teams, and to continue to provide customers with innovative products for demanding environments and use cases. The continued R&D development is assured by acquisition of the Tepcomp\u2019s highly skilled LED development team. DA-Group has more than a quarter of a century of experience in design, product development and manufacturing of demanding electronics, also for defense and space sectors.<\/p>\n

In the past, the professionals of Tepcomp and Controlled have collaborated in electronics design and LED technology development. Tepcomp will continue as the manufacturing partner for the LED products for the time being. The quality, warranty and services of the products are maintained in accordance with current contracts.<\/p>\n

Kaapo Liede, CEO of Tepcomp, says that the company\u2019s contract manufacturing order book has significantly grown over the past year and that the company\u2019s management has made a strategic decision to fully focus on the company\u2019s growing EMS business. This decision ensures that the transferred LED product portfolio and related customers will receive the best possible support and continuation in the future. \u201cI am very pleased that this business transfer also ensures continuity for our highly professional product development team and provides the team with future opportunities in a high-tech company with strong focus to R&D. DA-Group\u2019s CEO Sami Kotiniemi states that DA-Group, as an engineering and technology design company, is better positioned to provide a long-term development roadmap for the LED products. \u201cThe objective is to further develop the group\u2019s know-how in LED power supplies and technology.
