The scope of the business transfer is Tepcomp’s LED lighting components product portfolio, related IPR and development personnel. DA-Group’s fully-owned subsidiary, Controlled Oy, is the owner and operator of the transferred business acquisition.

Tepcomp Group is a leading Finnish industrial electronics contract manufacturer focusing on healthcare technology and industrial electronics. The product lines included in the business transaction are PowerPAQ power supplies, ActivePAQ and PassivePAQ LED modules.

The goal of the business transfer is to further develop high-quality LED lighting products with combined R&D teams, and to continue to provide customers with innovative products for demanding environments and use cases. The continued R&D development is assured by acquisition of the Tepcomp’s highly skilled LED development team. DA-Group has more than a quarter of a century of experience in design, product development and manufacturing of demanding electronics, also for defense and space sectors.

In the past, the professionals of Tepcomp and Controlled have collaborated in electronics design and LED technology development. Tepcomp will continue as the manufacturing partner for the LED products for the time being. The quality, warranty and services of the products are maintained in accordance with current contracts.

Kaapo Liede, CEO of Tepcomp, says that the company’s contract manufacturing order book has significantly grown over the past year and that the company’s management has made a strategic decision to fully focus on the company’s growing EMS business. Tepcomp Group Invested in a New Production Line at Its Turku Factory – “Automation Improves Economic and Ecological Efficiency”

Tepcomp Group, a Finnish contract manufacturer of electronics, has made a significant investment in its production plant in Turku. The new surface mount technology production line will significantly improve the productivity and energy efficiency of the plant.

According to Pekka Leppälä, CEO of Tepcomp Group, the 1.2 million investment will further increase the company’s competitive ability.

“Especially in these challenging times, Finland needs new investments, and we at Tepcomp firmly believe in the future,” Leppälä says. “By investing, we can increase our production capacity even further and improve our competitive ability on international markets.”

For Tepcomp, economic and ecological efficiency are objectives that support each other. New technologies bring increasingly more challenging products to the market, and Tepcomp’s new, modern production line can meet the requirements of electronics manufacture better.

“The investment in the Turku factory is also a significant step towards more environment-friendly production. By replacing two older production with a single state-of-the-art line, in addition to productivity, we are constantly developing our production in a more ecological direction in a
responsible manner.”
